Equal Stories Initiative
Bringing Light to the Stories That Were Never Given a Chance
Our Mission
The mainstream media often neglects to shed light on the profound hardships endured by Indians in America, leaving their struggles and experiences in the shadows. It is our duty to draw attention to these stories, fostering a deeper understanding of the pervasive racism that persists against Indian Americans within the United States. A quick search for racist crimes targeting Indians reveals a mere handful of incidents that occurred several years ago—an astonishingly inadequate representation of the issue. Isn't it crazy how such a significant problem is consistently undermined and overlooked?
With increasing rates of violence, almost 300% a year, towards Asians, we need to spread the word of hate and create a greater understanding for people in the United States to see that racial crimes are happening towards the Indian Community in the United States. Our incentive is to do the work that mainstream media often neglects, spread the stories of the Indian community.
